Who can use bttr

You must be 18 or older, live in the United States, and give us accurate information about yourself. Prescription treatments can only ship to the states where our pharmacy is licensed; the checkout tells you if yours is not one of them yet.

Your account is yours alone. Keep your sign-in private and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

What bttr is — and is not

bttr is a platform. It connects you with independent, state-licensed providers who decide whether a treatment is right for you, and with a licensed compounding pharmacy that fills and ships what they prescribe. bttr itself is not a medical provider, a pharmacy, or an insurer, and it does not practice medicine.

The providers are responsible for all clinical decisions. The pharmacy is responsible for preparing and shipping your medication. We are responsible for the app, the ordering process, payment, and support.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. bttr is not for emergencies.

How ordering works

You choose a treatment, answer the medical intake honestly and completely, confirm your date of birth and phone number, give a shipping address, and save a card. Nothing is charged at that point.

A licensed provider reviews your intake. They may approve it, decline it, or contact you for more information. They can decline for any clinical reason, and you are never charged for a declined order.

Your saved card is charged once, when — and only when — a provider approves the order. The amount is exactly the total shown at checkout: items, shipping, and any cold-chain fee.

You can cancel an order yourself from Orders at any time before it is approved. After approval the pharmacy begins preparing your medication and the order can no longer be cancelled.

Telehealth consent

By placing an order you consent to a telehealth evaluation: a licensed provider reviews your written answers, usually without a video or in-person visit, and decides whether to prescribe. Telehealth has limits — the provider cannot examine you physically, and some conditions need in-person care. The provider may ask for lab work or refer you elsewhere.

You agree that your answers are true and complete. Incomplete or inaccurate answers can make a treatment unsafe, and we and the provider rely on them.

You may withdraw this consent at any time by cancelling a pending order or deleting your account.

Compounded medications

Treatments on bttr are compounded: prepared by the pharmacy for you, on a prescription, from pharmaceutical ingredients. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished products, and the FDA has not evaluated their safety or effectiveness in that form.

Use them exactly as your provider and the pharmacy label instruct, read the information that ships with them, and contact your provider or us with any side effects or questions. Keep them out of the reach of children.

Shipping and returns

Orders ship from the pharmacy by tracked courier, with cold packaging for temperature-sensitive items, to the address you gave. It is your responsibility to give a correct address where the package can be received; some items must be refrigerated promptly.

Prescription medication cannot be returned or resold once it has shipped, so all sales are final. If an order arrives damaged, or does not arrive, contact us within 7 days and we will replace it or refund you.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown per item at checkout and may change over time; the price you see when you place an order is the price you pay if it is approved. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds, when they apply, go back to the card that was charged.

bttr does not bill insurance for treatments, and the amounts you pay do not count toward an insurance deductible unless you submit them to your plan yourself.

Information, not medical advice

Content in the app and on the website — including bttr AI and price estimates when those features are live — is general information. It is not medical advice, it does not create a provider–patient relationship, and it is not a substitute for a clinician who knows you. Only the licensed provider who reviews your order gives you medical advice.

Price estimates come from available data and may not match the amount you are billed. Confirm costs with the provider and your plan before receiving care.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse bttr: no ordering for someone else or under a false identity, no attempts to access other accounts or our systems, no scraping or reverse engineering, and no use of bttr AI to generate harmful content. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules or that a provider or the pharmacy reports as unsafe.

Liability

bttr is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, bttr and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for anything arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits the responsibility of your providers or the pharmacy for the care they give, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves and will change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect; continuing to use bttr afterwards means you accept them.
